G. Lalo has been making premium social stationery and stationary products since 1920. The quality and elegance of G. Lalo stationery paper products has led it to become the gold-standard stationary in most of the royal courts of Europe.

When etiquette requires superior stationery quality for correspondence or formal invitation, people turn to G. Lalo papers and stationery products.

George Lalo’s nephew introduced the U.S. market to G. Lalo stationery by holding trunk shows at prestigious New York hotels such as the Pierre and the Plaza. Stationery clientele were shown samples of papers and then placed their stationery orders. G. Lalo stationery was hand-engraved, and each sheet of paper meticulously examined.

Most of the paper used in G. Lalo stationary is made at Papierfabriek Schut in the Netherlands. Established in 1618, the G. Lalo paper mill was located in the Veluwe region of the Netherlands. The rapid currents of the Heelsum brook were used to operate the G. Lalo paper mill.

Verge paper is still made at the 400-year-old Papierfabriek Schut in the Netherlands. Verge paper by G. Lalo has the look and feel of handmade paper. G. Lalo's Verge paper even has the grid of parallel translucent lines created when the handmade paper was laid to dry. These grids are also helpful as guides for handwriting.
